This is a program to rename your digital camera's filenames to something a little
more meaningful, useful, and unique.

It is Shareware. Feel free to use it. There is nothing to pay. But do not pass it
on unless you include my name and copyright. That's all I ask.

What does it Do?
|
It renames your digital camera's filenames.
From this... IMG_9375.jpg
To... 20060516_121025_EOS20D_IMG_9375.jpg
Where...

|
20060516 is 2006 May 16th. The date the photograph was taken. Optional. |
| |
|
121025 is 12 Hours 10 Minutes 25 Seconds. The time the photograph was taken. Optional. |
| |
|
EOS20D is the name of your camera. Optional. |
| |
|
IMG_9375.jpg is the original filename generated by your camera. Optional. |
And if you don't like that format, there are others to choose from.
- The information used to create the new filename is read from the JPG's
embedded EXIF data.
- It works only with JPG files.
If you have Canon CRW or CR2 files, these can be renamed too, but
ONLY if there is an accompanying JPG file paired with it.

System Requirements |
- This program is designed to run under Microsoft Windows.
- You must have the Microsoft .NET Framework V2 Redistributable Package or later installed on your PC.
It can be downloaded from
Microsoft (22.4 MB) if you find you need it.

Warnings |
- Backup your files BEFORE renaming them. This gives you an opportunity to change your mind.
Especially if you rename files multiple times by accident !
- You use "Photograph Filename" at your own risk.

Easy Installation |
- Create a Directory/Folder on your PC and place the
downloaded unzipped files in it. There's no special setup or installation necessary.
- Run "PhotographFilename.exe".
- You must have the Microsoft .NET Framework V2 or
later installed on your PC, otherwise "Photograph Filename" will not work.
It can be downloaded from
Microsoft (22.4 MB) if you find you need it.
